We have a new handler named Bobby and he loves us and is very good. In the summer of 2007 Kitty did some UKC showing and did very well with Devin and Titan ending up the number one and number three Dane in UKC. At one show Magic was 5 months pregnant but Kitty wanted to try and finish her Championship. So Magic was best female and Devin was best male and the judge kept going back and forth over them. Kitty asked if he was trying to find a fault and he said yes and since you told me she was pregnant I can't fault her for being too fat. And when he gave Magic the ribbon for Best of Breed he said he was an obstetition and the pregnant lady has it. At the Cow Palace in 2008 Titan got Best of Breed over 6 specials and the old lady, me, got Reserve winners bitch at 7 over all those younger girls. One funny show story is when Belanna locked us all out of the MH the dining window was open and Kitty had to crawl in. Again she locked us out at a gas station and Kitty had to use some guys pick up truck to open it up. Now she always has a window open. |

The Next Step Breeding Those who show dogs and are truly committed to their breed will take the plunge into breeding.Besides the fact that Kitty loves GD there is a real attempt to improve the breed expecially the blues. This was a challenge that Kitty was up for. Kitty bred her first litter in 2001 and produced 4 girls and we got Parvo at 2 weeks and Kitty and her daughter spent 2 weeks nursing us back to health. So she could not sell us. kitty was warned not to keep litter mates and Belanna and I got along until we were 3 and than had a terrible fight where Kitty got her hand bitten. So from than on we had to be separated. Sometimes us dogs are not as smart as you humans but than we do not go out and shoot each other either. kitty loves having puppies even though it is a lot of work and she works hard to find the right homes for all of her puppies. I loved being pregnant and I just loved everybody. That time of my life is over now but even though I am spayed I am still the leader of the pack and keep all those younger girls in line. |

Our breeder of the year for 2007 is Magic, my daughter. After 8 years of breeding Kitty finally did a line breeding with Magic, Titan and Sirius. Her plan was to breed both her boys to the same girl. Well this produced her best dogs, Eragon, Saffira, Legacy and Fame. So she still does not know which boy produces the best puppies. Magic will be bred to the Kai semen who is a black Dane who died in 1995. |
